November spendings

The month in review: November 2019

Spending Report: 590.83

Not including savings
Nice.

The single most costly thing this month was renewing my VPN subscription for roughly $120CAD. I briefly debated not having it as the school wifi came with VPN, but it has come in handy to have two before.

I bought more clothes these 4 months than all of last year combined. That might speak more to just how little I spent last year rather than how out of control I am now, but I’m gonna put a stop to that for December and re-evaluate in January.

My social life increased and that increased my leisure spendings as well. I can’t find it in myself to be even slightly guilty about it. I LOVE a good dinner party so this spending won’t be decreasing for another couple of months while I buy decor and knickknacks. I’m aiming to do more entertaining at home rather than go out and save money in the long run. Hit me up if you’ve got ideas for how to make the most out of a small space.

Once everything is set up and in its Final Form, I will do a video tour of my place and show you guys around :)))

Net Worth Update: $73,471

Finally, I’ve broken over $70k!

If you look closely, I did not in fact somehow save $6,000 this month on a $4,500 salary – it’s whatever’s happening in the stock markets. From the bits of news that filter down, I figure it’s something to do with the US-China trade deals.

It’s wild to look back at this time last year and see that I’ve tripled my net worth in a year. I have yet to even open my TFSA and RRSP accounts this point in 2018.

High Lights

  • China vs. Russia hockey game!
  • Reverted to being a strict vegetarian again
  • I’m 1 week away from surviving my first semester of master’s!
  • Settling into a good routine.
  • Hosted a few dinner parties.

Balancing a full-time job, gym routine, master’s, social life, and life stuff is really tough. I haven’t been recording my high lights very well and these end-of-month blog posts are all I’ve got the energy for. Despite the occasional bad week, I do feel that I’m doing as much as I am able to at this point 🙂
