Finance Review: June 2024

I’m back Toronto, baby!

If any of you, my dozen of readers, are ever in Toronto or Beijing let me know, I’d love to show you guys around!

Spendings Report: $2,867

It should surprise no one that most spending this month (and next month) is/will be on leisure haha! It’s summer vacation for us teachers and I’m spending it in my home city of Toronto, the best place to live if you’re a foodie. I will happily fight anyone who says otherwise.

Remember how I said last month I was proud of myself for spending $0 on clothing or beauty stuff? Those were good times. No affiliate links, and the pastel yellow is an in-store special along with a pastel pink and pastel blue. I’ve used that sucker so much I love it to bits. That was probably the single most expensive purchase in June aside from flight tickets.

Other spending categories are pretty normal, topped up utilities and eating out to catch up with friends etc.

This isn’t really the space to write up what I think of modern healthcare so I’ll just leave it at that. My two close friends and the family member are on their way to a full recovery and I can’t ask for more.

Net Worth Update: slow and steady!

Continuing to do well! Not much to say, except I totally forgot I deposited cash into my RRSP account for like a month so it just sat there doing nothing. I’m doing a 5-yr write up where I review how my approaches to

Hope everyone’s summer is going well, stay hydrated and enjoy BBQ season!
